Traffic limitations apply between the junctions with Rua Moirão and Rua da Feira and are in force during daytime hours. The works began on 20 January and are scheduled to continue until 3 February, affecting local circulation and access to nearstreets. Municipal services have indicated that the intervention is necessary to modernise ageing infrastructure and improve long term service reliability. Additional disruption has already occurred as part of the same project, with a complete traffic cutoff implemented for several days to allow for the extension of a sewer collector. From 20 to 23 January, vehicles were unable to pass between the intersections of Travessa das Pinheiras and Rua Moirão, as construction crews carried out essential underground works. Authorities explained that this phase required full closure to ensure safety and allow uninterrupted progress. Although this section has since reopened, officials warned that intermittent restrictions may still occur as the project advances. Residents have been advised to follow posted signage and respect temporary traffic management measures. Local access for emergency services has been maintained throughout, and pedestrian routes have been adjusted where necessary to ensure safe passage around the construction zone.
