German professional services group ETL GLOBAL has strengthened its presence in Portugal integrating Lisbon based accounting and advisory firm Siconting into its local network. The move reflects the company’s strategy to expand professional services across Europe while deepening its footprint in the Portuguese market. Siconting, founded in 2011, provides accounting, tax advisory, financial consulting and human resources services to companies operating in a wide range of industries. bringing Siconting into the ETL GLOBAL Portugal structure, the group aims to broaden its advisory capabilities and support businesses seeking integrated financial and regulatory guidance in an increasingly complex economic environment.
Siconting operates from Lisbon and has developed a client portfolio that includes businesses across different sectors requiring financial management, compliance and advisory services. The firm is led Hugo Simplício, who oversees operations and client relations. Following the integration, Simplício will also join Numeric Consulting Group as a partner alongside Sérgio Ramos. Numeric Consulting Group forms part of the ETL GLOBAL network in Portugal and focuses on accounting and auditing services. The collaboration is expected to enhance coordination between advisory teams while offering clients a wider range of professional expertise within the same network.
The expansion highlights ETL GLOBAL’s broader effort to strengthen professional services networks in key European markets. Portugal has become an increasingly important location for international advisory groups as the country attracts foreign investment, expanding startups and cross border business operations. integrating Siconting into its structure, ETL GLOBAL is positioning itself to respond to growing demand for tax planning, financial consulting and compliance support. Firms operating in Portugal often require guidance on regulatory frameworks, corporate structuring and tax obligations, particularly when managing operations that extend across multiple jurisdictions.
Industry representatives say partnerships between advisory firms have become more common as companies seek integrated services covering finance, taxation and business strategy. Within the ETL GLOBAL Portugal network, collaboration between Siconting and Numeric Consulting Group is expected to strengthen service capacity for both domestic and international clients. Simplício said the integration allows the Lisbon based firm to benefit from a broader international platform while maintaining its focus on client relationships. Ramos highlighted that the partnership will improve the network’s ability to deliver specialized expertise across accounting, financial advisory and regulatory services.
The expansion also reflects ETL GLOBAL’s wider international strategy, which includes developing specialized advisory teams and sector focused initiatives. In March last year the organization introduced its international Real Estate Group, a platform bringing together legal, tax and financial specialists to assist property investors and developers across Europe. The group supports clients with investment planning, financing structures, project development and portfolio management. Its services also include guidance on property related taxation, legal procedures for acquisitions and corporate structuring for real estate companies operating across European markets.
Portugal has become a strategic market for many advisory networks because of its connections to global business corridors, particularly between Europe and Brazil. Numeric Consulting Group, which joined the ETL GLOBAL network in 2022, operates offices not only in Lisbon and Cascais but also in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro. This cross Atlantic presence allows the network to support companies managing investments and operations between Portugal and Brazil. The addition of Siconting is expected to reinforce this corridor expanding advisory capacity for businesses navigating financial and regulatory requirements in both markets.
ETL GLOBAL has also been strengthening its internal organization across other regions. In 2024 the firm carried out a strategic reorganization of its operations in Slovakia, appointing Martin Roško as master partner to enhance operational coordination and improve service delivery. Such changes form part of the company’s long term strategy to streamline operations and support growth across its international network. The integration of Siconting into ETL GLOBAL Portugal marks another step in that expansion as the group continues building partnerships with local advisory firms in key European markets.
